For hosts: recycling explained to your guests

Do you manage a short-term rental, a B&B or a holiday home? Put up a sheet with a QR code in the property: your guests scan it with their phone and see when to put the rubbish out and which bin each item goes in, in their own language.

Why it's worth it

Fewer fines and fewer complaints

Guests sort their waste properly and put it out on the right day: fewer bags left outside, fewer fines and fewer complaints from the building and the neighbours.

In your guest's language

The page opens in the phone's language: Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Romanian, Albanian and Ukrainian. It can be changed with a tap.

Nothing to reprint

The QR code always leads to the up-to-date calendar: if the municipality changes the days or the new year's calendar comes out, the sheet stays valid.

Free and with no sign-up

No account and no app to install, neither for you nor for your guests, and no advertising. Choose the municipality, download the PDF and print it.

How it works

  1. Search for the municipality of the property and, if the calendar changes from area to area, choose the area.
  2. Choose the language of the sheet and download the A4 PDF: there is also a version with all eight languages.
  3. Print it and fill it in by hand: where the bins are, when to put them out and the container for each type of waste. Put it up in the kitchen or near the door.
  4. Your guest scans the QR code with the camera and sees the next collections and what goes in each bin, without installing anything.

Create the sheet for your property

Type at least two letters of the municipality's name.

The page that opens from the QR code is in the language of the guest's phone, whatever the language of the sheet.

    Frequently asked questions

    How much does it cost?

Nothing. The sheet and the guest page are free and ad-free, and you don't need to sign up.

Do I have to redo the sheet when the calendar changes?

No. The QR code leads to the Bidò page, which always shows the calendar in force, even when the new year's calendar comes out. Redo it only if the bins or the place where they go out change, since you write those by hand.

Do guests have to install an app?

No: the page opens in the phone's browser. Anyone who wants can open the municipality in the web version of Bidò, with the full calendar and a search for any item, or install the Android app.

    In which languages?

The sheet can be downloaded in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Romanian, Albanian and Ukrainian. The guest page opens in the language of the guest's phone, if it is one of these, and can be changed with a tap. On the sheet the waste names are also shown in Italian, as guests will see them on the bins.

My municipality is missing or the calendar is wrong

Bidò has the calendars of more than 5,400 municipalities. If yours is missing or you spot a mistake, write to info@bidoapp.it: corrections apply for everyone. If in doubt, the municipality's official calendar always applies.

    Is Bidò a municipal service?

No. Bidò is an independent service: it does not belong to the municipality or to the waste collection company. The calendars come from the public documents of municipalities and collection companies, cited on each municipality's page.

    What data does it use?

The sheet is created in your browser, with no account and no personal data. The guest page asks for no data, uses no cookies and shows no advertising. See the privacy policy.

    I manage many properties

Create a sheet for each property, even in different municipalities: it takes a few seconds. If you work with an agency or manage many apartments and want a sheet with your own brand, write to us at info@bidoapp.it.
